Salter-Harris - epiphyseal fractures

• Type I - Hard to detect on x-ray, if swelling and TTP treat as a Type I fx
• Type II - 75% of all Salter-Harris fx's
• Type III - Growth may be interupted, fx reduction does not guarantee normal growth
• Type IV - Anatomic reduction is essential and may require surgery
• Type V - Rare, growth arrest is expected
