Elderly Person

• Trivial trauma (twisting, minor impacts)
• X-Ray (may not have high PPV due to osteoporosis leading to loss of Ca2+)
• CT (may not have high PPV due to osteoporosis leading to loss of Ca2+)
• MRI - not needed emergently
• Consider arthrocentesis for pain control and to diagnose fx
• ACL/PCL ligament tear will cause hemarthrosis
• Non-weight bearing
