- Exogenous estrogen / OCPs
- Pregnancy
- Hypercoagulable states
- Factor V Leiden
- Lupus
- Infections (COVID)
- Malignancy
Symptoms
Most commonly in superior sagittal and transverse sinuses
Clot -> increased ICP -> vasogenic edema -> hemorrhage
Non-specific headache
- Possibly positional or exacerbated by Valsalva
Seizure
Papilledema
AMS
Diagnosis

- Non-contrast CT Head
- MRI
- MR venogram
- CT venogram
Workup for hypercoagulable states
Treatment
Anticoagulation
